Questions engineering leaders ask before they book.
Everything below is answered the way we would answer it on a call: specifically, with the engineering reasoning attached. The questions are grouped by what you are likely deciding: how an engagement runs, how the systems are built, how data is protected, and what dedicated developers cost.
If yours is not here, bring it to the call. We would rather answer it than guess.
Section 01
Engagements and timelines
How projects start, how long they take, and what you receive.
Most engagements ship a production-ready first system in 45 to 90 days. The audit takes two to three weeks, architecture one to two more, and the remainder is build, integration, and hardening. Larger multi-agent platforms are delivered in phased releases so value lands early and risk stays contained.
For new systems and for scaling work on systems we have not seen, yes. The audit produces the unit economics model and the roadmap that the build is held to. For teams hiring dedicated developers into an existing, documented codebase, the 15-minute scope sync replaces the audit.
Each phase of the roadmap has a defined scope, acceptance criteria, and a price. If the scope changes, the price is renegotiated before work continues, never after. You can execute the roadmap with InsightSol or with your own engineers.
You do. Source code, infrastructure definitions, prompts, evaluation suites, and documentation are handed over in your repositories and accounts, with a recorded walkthrough for your engineers.
Section 02
Technical and architecture
Stacks, models, integrations, and how systems stay reliable.
TypeScript and Python services, Next.js and React front ends, PostgreSQL, Redis, and vector stores, with orchestration through n8n, Temporal, and custom agent runtimes. Model providers include Claude, OpenAI, and open-weight models hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP. We pick per workload and document every decision so your team can own it.
Yes. We integrate through APIs, webhooks, direct database access, file drops, and, when nothing else exists, controlled browser automation. Legacy SQL and ERP backends are wrapped in typed API endpoints so agents can read and write to them safely. CRMs, telephony, calendars, and ticketing systems are the most common first integrations.
Narrow agents with short tool lists, typed tool contracts validated on both input and output, a critic pass that scores every outcome against written policy, confidence thresholds that hand uncertain cases to a human, and evaluation suites that run on every change. Hallucination is treated as a measurable failure mode, not a surprise.
Systems are built with provider abstraction and durable state. During an outage, work pauses at the last committed step and resumes automatically; nothing is duplicated because every action carries an idempotency key. When a provider ships a new model, it is tested in staging against the evaluation suite and promoted only when cost and accuracy both improve.
Section 03
Security, privacy, and compliance
How data is handled, where systems run, and what is logged.
Least-privilege access, secrets isolation, PII redaction before any model call, prompt-injection fences on every model boundary, audit logs on every tool action, and tenant isolation are standard. Data stays inside your cloud account where required, and we work within your existing compliance program and review process.
Yes. Systems can be deployed inside your AWS, Azure, or GCP account under your IAM and network controls, including private VPC deployment with no public ingress. Zero-data-retention routing to model providers is configured where the provider supports it.
Yes. Request it on the contact form or on the first call and we will sign a mutual NDA before any technical discussion. Audits run under NDA with read-only access to your systems.
Section 04
Hiring and pricing
Dedicated developers, rates, and how engagements flex.
A Senior Part-Time Dedicated Developer is $1,500 per month for 20 dedicated hours per week. A Senior Full-Time Dedicated Developer is $2,500 per month for 40 dedicated hours per week. Both are fixed monthly rates with no platform fees or recruiter overhead.
Within 48 hours of the scope sync. You review the engineer's real production repositories, meet them live, and then they are onboarded to GitHub, Linear or Jira, and Slack with the first pull request scoped before the week is out.
Yes. Engagements adjust at the end of any month: pause, move between part-time and full-time, or add a second engineer. There are no lock-in periods.
Every system ships with telemetry, cost dashboards, and regression evals. From there you can run it in-house or keep InsightSol on a monitoring and continuous-engineering retainer that tunes agents, extends integrations, and scales infrastructure as volume grows.
Still deciding? Put the question to an engineer.
Book an architecture call. You will get a direct answer, and if the honest answer is that you do not need us yet, you will get that too.
